THE AWCS EXECUTIVE BOARD & COMMITTEES
The Board is elected annually by the membership of the AWCS and is strictly voluntary.
PRESIDENT provides general supervision over the affairs of the club, acts as the AWCS representative to all outside organizations, signs all official documents of the club, appoints General Board and committee members, and leads the Executive and General Board meetings.
FIRST VICE PRESIDENT in the absence of the President, exercises the powers and duties of the President; attends the monthly board meetings, serves as the club's Ways and Means Chair and serves as the Articles of Association Review Committee Chair; coordinates the activities of the Community Outreach Committee, the Historian, and the Photographer.
VICE PRESIDENT OF MEMBERSHIP maintains the membership database and records; accepts membership applications/renewals and dues; designs and publishes the member directory; assists with Membership-sponsored events.
VICE PRESIDENT OF MEMBER EVENTS coordinates and assists in the planning of activities of the Luncheon and Special Events Committees.
VICE PRESIDENT OF CLUB ACTIVITIES coordinates and assists in the planning of activities of the Summer Tai Tai Program, Book Club, and Trips and Cultural Events Committee.
VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS prepares and publishes a monthly newsletter and manages the club website principally intended to inform club members of club activities.
TREASURER manages and reports financial operations of the club and provides regular Budget and Cash Flow reports to the Executive Board.
