- MEET AND GREET COFFEE MORNING
The Meet & Greet Coffee Morning takes place every month for members and potential new members. The Meet & Greet is designed to welcome new people to Shanghai that have recently joined or are considering joining the AWC, and to allow members to reconnect with friends. This is a drop-in event – reservations are never required! If you know someone new to Shanghai please consider inviting them to the Meet & Greet. Consult our calendar for details of time and place.

 LUNCHEONS
Monthly Luncheons are a great opportunities to join friends and experience many of Shanghai's wonderful restaurants. The Luncheons are open to all current members of AWCS. Pre-registration required.

 CLUB ACTIVITIES
Club Activities are special classes or outings which change from month to month. It could be a hands-on class on pottery or Chinese knotting, or perhaps a day trip to the Suzhou Pearl Market or a visit to an ancient water town. They are generally day-time events, and are always open to AWCS members and their guests. Pre-registration required.

Special events tend to be evening or weekend events, geared toward members and their spouses or families. They also are open to all current AWCS members and their guests. Pre-registration required.

Each month our members are given the opportunity to participate in outreach activities such as sponsored walks or assisting in small projects. There are regular features in The Spirit magazine highlighting the many organizations we support.

awcs cancellation policy
Many American Women's Club events and activities require pre-registration. For all such events, there is a 48 hour cancellation policy. You must cancel any event/activity that you have signed up for 48 hours before the day of the event. Your cancellation is not confirmed until you have received an email from the activity/event coordinator. If you fail to cancel, you will be responsible for the cost. If you fail to pay, you will not be permitted to sign up for any further events/activities or renew your membership until we have received your payment.
Some events/activities require a cancellation prior to the standard 48 hours. If this is the case, this will be advertised with the event/activity in the Spirit Magazine, web site, and Google emails.
The AWCS needs to enforce this policy due to venues requiring a set number 48 hours prior to events/activities. Once we have given a number, we are required to make full payment. We appreciate your understanding.
